On January 15, 2019 at approximately 1509hrs the Borough of Berwick Police Department was dispatched to a report of a confirmed robbery at Fulton Bank, located at 200 South Poplar Street in Berwick Borough. Officers arrived on scene very quickly and multiple law enforcement agencies assisted with the incident, however, the suspect was not located. It was reported that a male entered the bank wearing dark clothing, his head and face almost completely covered, informed bank personnel that he had a bomb, provided a handwritten note and demanded money. Currency was provided to the suspect and the suspect then fled the scene by running southeast away from the bank. The bank robbery was an isolated event and nobody was harmed during the incident.
Also provided with this press release are two (2) photographs of the suspect. If anyone can identify anything unique in the photographs please contact the East Central Emergency Network at 570-784-6300.
