East Main Street Shooting



On September 9, 2018 at approximately 0204 hours, the Bloomsburg Police Department responded to a report of shots fired and a victim of a gunshot at East Main Street and Miller Avenue. Responding officers located a 27 year old male with a gunshot wound to his upper thigh and back. The victim was transported to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Investigating officers are seeking (3) three male suspects. The suspects are described to be black males in their early twenties. 

        -Black male with a beard, 5’4- 5’6, skinny build, wearing grey hooded jacket, white sneakers and blue jeans

        -Black male with a beard, approx. 6’0, medium to heavy build, black hooded jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, jeans and white sneakers

        -Black male with a beard, approx. 6’0, skinny build, zip up grey hoodie, grey sweat pants

The initial investigation indicates the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no risk to the public.
