** UPDATE ** Kevin was located at approximately 5:00 pm safe! We want to thank all the local volunteers, the outside search and rescue teams, K9's, Columbia County EMA, ECEN Emergency Services Dispatchers, Incident Management Team Members  and members of the Montour Township and Catawissa Borough Police Officers who responded to our calls for assistance to search for Kevin.

The 1000 block of Bear Gap Road (between Middle Road and the Northumberland/Columbia county line) is experiencing severe icing due to natural spring runoff onto the roadway coupled with the cold temperatures.  PennDOT is aware of the situation and had been working with heavy equipment to make the roadway as safe as possible.  However, the water is still flowing and the road is still icy, so please use caution when traveling through the area.  The area will likely be hazardous until the spring stops flowing.

Area roadways have become extremely slippery with the snow squall that has gone through. Southern Drive / SR487 near Rohrbach's is closed with multiple stuck vehicles

The Southern Columbia School District, Catawissa PA, has placed a call out to all parents / guardians on the school reach program. Due to a minor vehicle accident involving two of the school's buses returning from a 4th grade field trip, students are now being dismissed from the school at this time. Buses will be leaving the school grounds shortly to be bringing home the students. It does sound like bus #7 will be delayed longer than others as the school is waiting for a substitute driver to arrive.

200 Block of Bear Gap Road between Rhodestown Road and White Church Road. Verizon wires and two utility poles are down.

Pine Swamp Road in Cleveland Township is now reopened to traffic.  Please use caution as a section of the roadway is down to one lane due to damage.

Pine Swamp Road in Cleveland Township is closed between Bethel Drive and Keller School Road due to a dump truck accident which caused damage to the road. Please use an alternate route until the roadway is reopened.

Rural law enforcement operations are never boring. After a brief and slow foot pursuit, these four we're wrangled and placed back in their paddock. They decided today would be a good day to escape and go up on the roadway. Thankfully none were harmed and had walked into the yard prior to our arrival. I'm sure they settled in for an afternoon nap after their brief run for freedom.

The tree has been removed.

Report of a tree down blocking both Lanes of Mill Road, between Duke Road and Wagner Bridge Road in Roaring Creek Township. Crews have been dispatched to the location.
