The Locust Township Police Department arrested David Lynn Kobilis on Tuesday March 26, 2019. Patrolman DeFrain arrived at Kobilis' residence in Wilburton with the intent to serve multiple warrants and observed Kobilis changing the oil in one of his vehicles. The officer then approached Kobilis and confirmed his identity. When attempting to place Kobilis under arrest he assault the officer and resisted arrest for approximately fifteen minutes until backup officers arrived. Finally, with the help of three other officers, Kobilis was taken into custody. In addition to the three warrants held by the Locust Township Police Department, Kobilis was also wanted on criminal charges out of Northumberland County. He also now faces new charges of Felony 1 Aggravated Assault, Misdemeanor 2 Simple Assault, and Misdemeanor 2 Resisting Arrest.
David Kobilis was sent to the Columbia County Prison after failing to post $50,000 bail.
