On January 19, 2019 at approximately 0100 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge pickup truck after observing suspicious activity at a residence in which the vehicle did not belong. Throughout the course of the traffic stop, three males were positively identified. A fourth male provided officers with a false name of Chris Johnson before fleeing on foot in the area of Lake Glory Campground. Officers from the Locust Township Police Dept., the Catawissa Borough Police Dept., and the Montour Township Police Dept. conducted a lengthy search of the area but were unable to locate the male.
The investigation revealed that male's real identity was Christopher Snuffer, with a last known address in Hughesville, PA. Christopher was already wanted by the Lycoming County Sheriff's Office for theft charges. The Locust Township Police Department is in the process of obtaining an arrest warrant for Snuffer for flight to avoid apprehension as well as providing officers with false identification.
