The Bloomsburg Police Department would like to notify the public of the below information:

UGI Utilities, Inc. will begin a natural gas main replacement project in the Town of Bloomsburg,  August 1^st 2022, as part of the Company’s multi-year infrastructure betterment initiative. The anticipated completion date is early September.

The affected areas of Bloomsburg are:

North Street from Lightstreet Road to East 1^st Street

East 1^st Street from North Street to North Penn Street

Chestnut Ave from East 1^st to Lockard Ave

Eyer Street From North Iron to Glenn Ave

Glenn Ave From Iron Street to North Street

Approximately 5,000 feet of non-contemporary main will be replaced. This project will also renew gas service lines to approximately 40 customers.

Construction will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday with the possibility of Saturday work. During construction hours, residents should expect detours and traffic delays.
