LOCUST TOWNSHIP— The Locust Township Police Department is honored to announce and express its sincere appreciation to the Nicholas Ryan Over Foundation for their incredibly generous donation of two (2) Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
These critical, life-saving devices will immediately be deployed within our patrol operations, equipping our officers with essential tools to respond effectively to medical emergencies, specifically sudden cardiac arrest, within our community. The integration of these AEDs significantly enhances our ability to provide immediate medical intervention, potentially bridging the gap until emergency medical services arrive.
"We are deeply grateful to the Nicholas Ryan Over Foundation for their unwavering commitment to public safety and their invaluable support of our department," said Locust Township Police Chief Paul Hilliard. "This donation directly empowers our officers to act swiftly and decisively in critical moments, reinforcing our dedication to protecting the lives and well-being of our residents. Their generosity will undoubtedly save lives."
The Locust Township Police Department is deeply appreciative of this partnership and the foundation l s continued efforts to make a tangible and positive impact on the health and safety of our community.
The Mission of the Nicholas Ryan Over Foundation is the provision of AEDs (automated external defibrillators), training workshops for AED programs as well as CPR and AED training. The Foundation hopes to educate the public on sudden cardiac arrest in our youth. The foundation was established after Nicholas passed away from an undiagnosed heart condition.
